The Village Cinema at the Village in Meridian said Wednesday it plans on reopening Aug. 21.

"The Village Cinema will reopen with enhanced cleaning and sanitizing protocols in place to assure our customer’s confidence and peace of mind that the Village at Meridian is truly a safe environment," the theater said.

The cinemas will offer $5 for adults and $3 for children's tickets every day for all re-released classic hits.

There will also be a $7.50 all-day pass available for those interested in an all-day marathon of classic movies. All new film releases will be subject to regular ticket pricing.
